Last February 8 and 9, 2019 the BSBA department held the Alumni Cup. All of the department’s alumni students were invited to celebrate this special event.
The first day started a bit late because only a few alumni students came but we still played the parlor games prepared for them. We started the program by praying for the event and a short message from the Alumni president Jarvin Sanches.
We divided the participants into two groups. We played face cookie, balloon jockey and other parlor games. At exactly 2pm the basketball game for the girls started - alumni girls versus 4th year girls. Alumni girls won. After the basketball girls, the basketball boys started: BSBA alumni versus Alumni Varsity players. The Varsity players won. Second game is for Alumni boys versus College boys. Alumni boys won. We had so much fun watching them play and cheering for them.
After the two sets of basketball game the volleyball game started: alumni boys versus college girls and boys for the first game; for the second game alumni girls versus college girls and boys.
We rounded up the day by having a mini photo shoot at the photo booth that was set up by two alumni students of our department.
On the second day, we started the day with a prayer. Then came the ball games championship: for basketball, alumni versus college and for the volleyball it ws alumni boys versus college girls and boys. The games ended up as a game for us to know each other and strengthen the bond between us, 4th year students and soon-to-be BSBA alumni and our ate’s and kuya’s.
We also had an awarding. For basketball boys, our MVP was Jayvee Magsino. For the basketball girls our MVP was Sharmaine Gerpacio.
Having this kind of event doesn’t just bring people together but it also makes them reminisce about life as a student and as a friend to our college buddies.
