On February 23, 2019 THRM students and faculty members embarked on the trip going to Camarines Sur. The bus ride began at around 10 pm until we reached Naga City at around 6:30 am. There were two coach captains in our bus who set us safely at our destination.
Our first destination was the Biggs Diner in Naga City, for a breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hotdogs together with fried rice. They also served us chocolate drink and water.
Our way to Sabong Port was bus ride for one hour. Before riding a boat, the tour guide gave us time to go to the comfort room. While in area, we noticed some coast guards that made us feel safe because we are going to ride a boat. Before the boat started its engines, the people who were guiding us gave signals for us to wear the safety life jacket. After almost two hours we reached another port and another jeepney ride for almost one hour.
We reached the Rex Tourist Inn and had our lunch. After that, the keys in different rooms were given. Some days before the tour, a meeting was held which gave us knowledge on what to wear and what to bring like mosquito repellent, sun block etc. We started our island hopping by taking a boat again, with life/safety jacket.
Day two was also island hopping. One of the tour guides said that he was not able to leave his bag because the first aid kit was there. Overall, we safely enjoyed the area.
The third day was in Naga City. We had our lunch at Bob Marlin. The food was very delicious, and the area was also very pleasant. We went to different places like museums, churches and the CWC (Camarines Sur Water Complex). In CWC, we enjoyed things like wake boarding. We tried it wearing the helmet and life jacket, which were very useful especially to first timers and beginners.
After that, we went to Anselmo’s Restaurant for buffet dinner. The food was very delicious and healthy. The area was very organized. The restaurant was the last place for day three. We rode a bus again going home.
