Senior High Programs
Olivarez College Senior High School Department is geared towards the realization of its goal to inculcate excellence vital to produce globally competent individuals equipped with the concepts and skills required to play a full and dynamic role in the community. Our graduates are envisioned to obtain significant gains for the very reason that our institution emphasizes on developing the mind capable of intelligent decision-making and analysis; physically fit body adept with abilities and talents; and the spirit of a well-rounded learner with ideals dedicated in the service of God, country and man. They will become proud and content alumni exhibiting our institution’s core values (honesty, excellence, accountability, responsible enquiry and teamwork) and proper attitudes essential for college, employment, and entrepreneurship.Accountancy, Business and Management
ABM is a str and that focuses on the basic concepts of financial management, business management, and corporate operations. Students will engage in business simulation and be exposed to the types of decisions business managers face regularly. ABM also helps students improve their skills, management strategies, and knowledge of managing a business and becoming a successful manager and accountant someday.
Humanities and Social Sciences
Humanities are branches of knowledge that have an interest in the human person and their cultures for him to be developed holistically, leading to an appreciation of human values and the unique ability of the human spirit to articulate itself. Humanities uses philosophy, language, religion, literature, history, art, and music to be equipped for 21st-century skills. The branches of knowledge under Humanities prepare learners to pursue higher education or acquire middle-level skills, or geared towards employment or entrepreneurship with humane involvement with the sense of connectivity to facticity and the existentialism of our fallenness.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
STEM is an educational program that prepares secondary students for college in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This track focuses on advanced concepts and topics that emphasize applying knowledge to real-life situations. The academic concepts are coupled with a variety of exciting activities and project-based learning under a curriculum of an interdisciplinary approach. Learners' multiple intelligences are well-catered and accustomed to improving the school, community, and global interest.
General Academics Strand
GAS is excellent for students who must decide which track to take.
It is just a guide point in the students' lives to help them decide
what course or degree they want to pursue in college.
A student can choose electives from the different academic strands
under this track. These subjects include Humanities, Social
Sciences, Applied Economics, Organization and Management, Disaster
Preparedness, and Electives that will allow students the flexibility
to take courses aligned with their passion and interest.
Home Economics
TVL Strand is designed to develop students' skills that are useful
for livelihood and technical projects. It provides a curriculum
combining Core Courses and specialized hands-on courses that meet
the competency-based assessment of TESDA. At the end of the course,
students will be able to take the TESDA National Certification
Assessments. In Olivarez College Tagaytay, the students can select
one of the two unique courses, Home Economics and Information and
Communication Technology.
The TVL-HE Strand offers three specializations namely, Bread and
Pastry, Food and Beverage, and Cookery.
Information and Communication Technology
TVL Strand is designed to develop students' skills that are useful
for livelihood and technical projects. It provides a curriculum
combining Core Courses and specialized hands-on courses that meet
the competency-based assessment of TESDA. At the end of the course,
students will be able to take the TESDA National Certification
Assessments. In Olivarez College Tagaytay, the students can select
one of the two unique courses, Home Economics and Information and
Communication Technology.
In the TVL-ICT Strand, the students
will be taking subjects that will develop ICT Skills, which will
significantly help technology-based jobs. After completing the
course, the students can take the Computer System Servicing
Assessment from TESDA and continue higher degree courses in ICT or
Computer Science.
