The Olivarez College Tagaytay Guidance and Testing Office (GTO) provides services and programs aimed at giving students the skills they need to achieve self-actualization within the framework of their own, their families', and society's realities. Through the stages of self-awareness, self-exploration, self-improvement, and self-offering, the office helps shape the students. Specifically, the center seeks to facilitate students’ awareness and understanding of their artistic, emotional, interpersonal, intellectual, political, physical and spiritual development; helps students cope with their personal, academic and career needs or problems; assists the school, especially the faculty and administration in improving the learning environment of the institution.

The GTO offers:

• Counseling – referred to as the “heart” of the guidance program since the process makes use of all pertinent data about the individual student. This aids the student in making choices leading to self – direction and total growth and development.
• Testing Service – periodically administers tests to assist the student in understanding oneself – interests, aptitudes, personality traits, needs, needs, potential career and job preferences.
• Placement – provides information on employment opportunities in various fields. Conducts career seminars and lectures to assist students in seeking worthwhile jobs in the areas of interests / specialization.
• Research – information and data gathered by the center are utilized in making developmental plans not only for the individual learner but also for the different aspects of the school’s educational system.
